This upgraded high-capacity aluminium header tank for the Lotus Exige V6 and Sport models offers a number of performance and aesthetic upgrades over the OE version.Increasing the cooling system's fluid capacity aids cooling performance, and the header tank increases the volume considerably, from 1000ml to 1700ml, as well as increasing the cap pressure from 15.66psi to 21psi.Unlike the OE tank, this version will not crack or discolour.Finished in our standard textured black, each tank also includes a sight glass for easy coolant level checking as standard.Compatibility:
Lotus V6 Exige S and Sport Models 3 Eleven Road, Race and 430 Evora (S) 400, 410 Sport, GT410 and GT430
Uprated alloy water radiator with upgraded cooling capacity. The high-efficiency core measures a bigger diameter and bears extensively more volume compared to the OEM part. The side boxes are made of alloy. Those of the OEM radiators are made of plastic and therefore well-known for bursting without premonition. Extensive repair costs are the result. The installation of this radiator requires some slight modifications. This version is recommended for increased power-rated (especially super- and turbo-charged) cars!
Fits to Exige Sport 350 / 380 /410 and Cup 430.
Lighweight Fan Fitting Kit included
Engine oil circuit upgrade
Kit to reduce the flow resistance in the oil circuit and therefore less pressure loss and less foam formation. The long oil lines, the constrictions in the lines due to the cross-sectional changes, or even the surface quality of the lines lead to an increase in flow resistance and thus a reduction in oil pressure. The Exige V6 models with oil cooler at the front (everything up to Exige 410-430) even have a good cooling performance thanks to the oil cooler at the front, but the long line routing also has an influence on the of oil pressure. In these models, the original oil filter housing from Toyota was used, which is no use when installed in the Lotus, but has a significant influence on the flow behavior due to the unsightly tapering of the cross sections. The kit completely replaces this housing and thus reduces resistance. The original thermostat is also no longer necessary because it creates a bypass and in our climatic zones this is only useful in winter time. A positive side effect is less weight in the car. The oil pressure increases by approx. 0.5 bar.
Primarily suitable for Exige V6 in track use. Conversion not suitable for all-season vehicles due to the removal of the thermostat!
This article is a replacement for the original air conditioner in the models Elise Mk2, Mk3 and Exige Mk2, Mk3 V6, Mk3 410/420/430.Only Compatible with Exige V6 manual transmission variants.
Every pressurized system needs a protection mechanism to prevent it from building up too much pressure. If the system builds up too much pressure (or the cap gets stuck) something has to go.The weakest part will be the plastic side caps at the radiator, so they will blow. You can’t really blame that on the design of the radiator if you’re not sure about the pressure in the system. Our rule of thumb lifespan for a Coolant Reservoir Pressure Cap is two years. From there, it will either start to get loose (boiling, temperature going up manically) or it’ll get stuck (radiator or pipes blowing up).Think about it, this cap is easy to replace, it’s cheap compared to the original part. It simply is disaster prevention!
This cap is suitable for all Elises, Exiges and Evoras with a Toyota drivetrain.
