Carbon front splitter V6 "KT-Track" Aerodynamics development from a road car to a race car. The optimal way to optimize your Lotus Exige V6 (MY12-21) aerodynamically and optically. The focus was on a striking increase in the efficiency of the downforce on the front axle. Our new "KT-Track carbon front splitter". Highest quality - Made in Germany! A front splitter ensures a guided air flow at the front of the vehicle to improve road grip. The lift force is reduced by the resulting negative pressure on the underbody and, especially at high speeds, the vehicle is additionally stabilized and the steering behavior is improved. (Downforce) There are basically two ways to achieve the effect of improved downforce on the front axle. You can either extend the splitter to the front in order to apply an increased force on the top, or through the optimized air flow on the bottom.Lengthening the splitter is technically only possible to a limited extent with the Exige, as it would otherwise constantly touch the road and there is a risk of damage (including ramp angles).On our version, we also used skid plates known from motorsport. These small metal blocks protect the high-quality component from damage and can be replaced when worn. Our splitter replaces the original front splitter and the aluminum underbody plate attached behind it. This enables us to shape the splitter in an aerodynamically optimal way, that is, the splitter rakes by 4.5 ° and thus creates negative pressure, i.e. downforce, just like the diffuser at the rear. The integrated diffusers on the left and right generate additional negative pressure and a vortex. The two air ducts in the middle are intended for optional ventilation of the brake and can be used on request. This ensures a reduction in the thermal load on the front brake components. The performance, especially when using the track, is significantly improved. We have developed the top wheel arch ventilation (item number 2311-001) and the ventilation through the wheel arch / fender panel (item number 2311-002) so that the air fed into the wheel arches can flow out cleanly (parts have to be ordered separately). Both products are made of carbon using the autoclave process. All three components can also be used individually. However, the optimal aerodynamic effect is only achieved when they are used together. The air flow exiting at the top is placed over the front of the vehicle and thus generates additional contact pressure and improves the flow towards the rear wing. On the side of the front splitter, we have added higher fins in the design that serve as a vortex generator to better guide the air around the vehicle and thus additionally support the aerodynamics by reducing air vortices in the wheel arch. A measure that is very effective and hardly has a negative impact on the vehicle's drag coefficient. The overhang to the front clip is about 8cm on the front-side and about 5cm in the front-middle. Thus, the ramp angle of the Exige is only slightly influenced. The side fins are about 16cm high. The overall component has a size of about 175x75x25cm and is therefore only possible for shipping as bulky goods and within the EU! Motorsport part without street approval.
The new KT-Track rear wing for the Lotus Exige V6
Developed in the wind tunnel, our new KT-Track rear wing offers an optimal profile to generate a very good ratio of downrforce and air resistance. The 1.350 mm wide, curved wing ensures a balanced aerodynamic distribution, especially in combination with the motorsports front splitter. At an angle of 12° of the tail wing, the highest aerodynamic system efficiency is achieved.The output on the rear axle is 50.2 kg at 160 km/h and 122 kg at 250 km/h.The wing is fixed to the tailgate by aspecially build Komo-Tec wing supports which can withstand the additional load without any issues. If the car has fitted the Carbon-Enginehodd as a standard spec you will have to rework the Uprights locally. As a standard, we supply these supports in black. Special colors such as silver or gold for example can be supplied on request.

To improve the effect of the wing, it is moved with the new brackets by approx. 35mm backwards and approx. 30mm upwards.Furthermore, the wing-angle can now be adjusted. Upper carbon wheel arch ventilation "KT-Track"
The KT-Track wheel arch ventilation
A lot of air resistance is generated in a relatively small area in the Exige's wheel arch.
To counteract this, openings in the clam are used for "ventilation".
These reduce the resulting air pressure and thus also the resistance in the wheel arch.
The lift of the wheel house is now minimized by the changed pressure conditions
and the resulting air flow also ensures improved cooling of the brake system.
The wheel arch ventilation is part of our three-stage "KT-Track" aerodynamic development.
The other two components are the carbon front splitter (item number 2211-018) and the
Carbon A-Panels / fenders (item number 2311-002). These components can also be used individually
(available separately in the shop). The optimal aerodynamic effect, however, results
only when used together. The air flow exiting at the top is then placed over the front of the vehicle
and thus generates further contact pressure and improves the airflow towards the rear wing.
The carbon grids are manufactured using the autoclave process. We supply a set of wheel arch vents
(part dimensions approx. 51x16cm per side), as well as a wrap-negative to stick on for easy positioning
to ensure the grid. To do this, a cutout must be made on the clam (irreversible!), and then the grille
will be attached and glued from above. A wide edge of the carbon parts offers enough space and
enables a visually appealing solution without repainting.
