Drexler Mechanical Limited Slip Differential
for Lotus Elise 1ZR-/2ZR-Engine / EC60-Transmission (Modelyear 2011-onwards, manual)
Developed directly on track, the Drexler Mechanical Limited Slip Differential guarantees for a lot of driving fun and stands for a good workmanship! This Differential has been developed to optimize the requirements of the Lotus-Concept in terms of power-to-weight ratio, torque and driving dynamics. With the standard setting the lock is optimally applicable for track days, but still fine for road use.
The target is to achieve maximum agility and driving performance. The Mechanical Drexler Differential uses friction plates to generate the locking effect, thus ensuring effective operation of the Differential during acceleration, as well as an optimized braking effect. Precise handling is ensured by reducing the slip on the inside wheel and preventing "spinning" through the optimized force distribution on both wheels. Normally a friction-plates Differential works more efficiently than conventional parts using the Torsen principle or a Quaife.
The main advantages of a Mechanical Drexler Differential are:
- Improved acceleration skills through a fast and efficient locking response, especially from the cornerspeed and from the standing

2ZR intercooler upgrade kit
In addition to the standard heat exchanger, we add another cooler in the front to further cool the charge air! The enlargement of the cooling surface guarantees a lower inlet temperature. The further lowering of the temperature of the air-intakeensures a higher proportion of oxygen and thus better combustion in order to meet the increased requirements for charging!

Ko-Bra Race ABS / ESP Motorsport and safety feature at the same time: Our newly developed Ko-Bra Race ABS and ESP! The 1st available motorsport ABS / ESP on the market especially developed for the Elise with ZR-Powertrain and extensively tested. Our many years of experience in motorsport, the knowledge of the Elise Range itself and the feedback from our customers have made it possible for us to work and point out the essential points for development and optimization. The result is a plug'n'play solution that is just as suitable for everyday sporting use as it is for ambitious use on the track! The existing Lotus-DPM functions of the driving modes (Tour, Race and OFF) could be integrated and expanded. So if you make the effort to use the system right, you will definitely be faster and safer!
ABS: In the future, the limiting factor for you will (almost) be the choice of tires only! Typical racing deceleration forces of over 2g are possible now! Even when braking deep into the curve, the typical understeering of the standard brake is eliminated and enables precise steering through an optimal ratio between the maximum possible braking and lateral force control. The so-called ice mode (“hard brake pedal”) is prevented.
ESP: An ESP works through selective brake intervention and regulation of the engine torque. The lower torque in particular causes a considerable interruption in power. Thanks to our adapted regulation, you control the torque by the accelerator pedal only. The control allows higher drift angles and also power slides. Twists are still effectively prevented and corrected more gently. It is still possible to switch off the ESP completely - but it is no longer necessary for a hot lap time as overcompensating brake interventions no longer take place. It should also be mentioned that we were able to improve the already known overregulation of the ESP (especially in the Cup models), which already likes to regulate on motorway exits and can be used in Sport-Mode only. After the optimization, the ESP regulates much finer and is definitely beneficial to the driving dynamics even in Tour-Mode.
TC: The traction control is also no longer activated in our software in order to achieve better traction and full access to the engine torque.
Data recording: All variables relevant to driving dynamics are made available via CAN bus and can be recorded via CAN logger (not included in the offer).

After our well-known and successful performance
phases ZR265 and ZR285, we are now adding the new ZR310 variant.In order to
give the Elise S / Sport 220 / Cup 250 a little more performance, we have
developed this performance phase. The 1.8 S (2ZR engine) differs from the
predecessor 1.8 SC (2ZZ engine) by a completely new engine generation and a
supercharger that is now equipped with a water-cooled intercooler (previously
completely without LLK or, in the case of the Exige S with air/air cooler).
Thus, the problem of weak intercooling of the older models is significantly
reduced. However, the shortcoming of the current 1.8 S lies more in the area of
exhaust system and tuning of the engine management. The original exhaust
manifold is very small and the pipe lengths are not optimal. That's why we use
a 4:1 stainless steel exhaust manifold with optimized pipe lengths and a
200-cell HJS sports catalytic converter. The result is a nice sporty sound
without being obtrusive and an improvement in performance and torque curve. To
optimize the intake, we use a KT Sport airbox. Compared to the ZR285 phase,
which already uses a freely programmable engine control unit, the ZR310 phase
has an additional set of sports camshafts. Unfortunately, the 2ZR engine with
285hp already reaches its stability limit, so it is pointless to build the
ZR310 variant on this relatively weak basis. Especially for racing and the Cup
Elise models used there, we have developed steel connecting rods and forged
pistons for the ZR310. These components are not just a replica of the serial
parts in better material, here the design and dimensions have also been
completely changed to meet the increased requirements. The kit includes the
complete conversion with engine removal, disassembly, machining, assembly,
retraction and individual adjustment on the test bench. Please note that your
original engine will be reused as a base, so it must be suitable for conversion
in terms of condition and mileage

Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential
for Lotus Elise with Toyota 1ZR- and 2ZR-Engine / EC60-Transmission (Modellyear 2011-onwards)
The popular upgrade variant for the OEM differential: The Quaife Limited Slip Differential!
A limited-slip differential provides you with optimized traction, sportier drive and improved braking performance of your Lotus. The Quaife Differential automatically biases the torque across the axle to the wheel with the most grip. Unwanted wheelspin and slip are greatly reduced, resulting in less understeer on front or four wheel drive machines and reduced oversteer on rear wheel drive vehicles. This is a performance benefit and increases the power output onto the asphalt.
In contrast to a Torsen-Differential the Quaife uses its own principle with helical gears. This keeps the temperature low and noises are quite low and quiet. Quaife never ‘locks,’ making it progressive, safe and user friendly. Also, this design ensures less material wear and thus for an extremely durable with low maintenance intensity. High reliability is further ensured by Quaife's precision workmanship, quality materials and ISO9001-2008 certification.
- Traction maximization and slip minimization through a controlled power transmission to the driven wheels (especially on slippery road conditions)

The Elise of the 3 generation captivates with a balanced engine and sporty driving performance, unfortunately the gear ratio is extremely long. In order not to change the whole transmission gears, we get the final gear ratio swapped (crownwheel/pinion) so that all 6 gears become shorter, the dynamics of the car do very well. The standard gear ratio is 4.29: 1 and the optimized gear ratio is 4.93: 1
This conversion can optionally be combined with one of our limited slip differentials.
Ideal for sporty use or track day use.
